FAQs

Can I smoke in the hotel? Do you offer any non-smoking rooms?

Our facility is entirely non-smoking to ensure the comfort of children and non-smoking guests.
For those who wish to smoke, designated smoking areas are provided on the emergency staircases on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Please use these areas if you smoke.

Is there an elevator in the building?

Our facility does not have an elevator.

Other Facilities:
・1st Floor: Front Desk and Restaurant

Are winter tires necessary?

Please ensure your car is equipped with winter tires.
It is extremely dangerous to visit with regular tires.
Even in March, when roads may appear dry, a sudden snowfall can quickly turn them into snow-covered and icy surfaces, making it impossible to drive with normal tires.
Additionally, the area in front of the hotel is on a slope, and our parking lot connected to the slopes and garden often has accumulated snow.
Even 4WD vehicles with regular tires can get stuck.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable ski or snowboarding trip, please equip your car with winter tires and snow chains.

Where is the parking lot? Is it free?

Our parking lot is located within the property and is available for free from your arrival until departure.
The parking lot is in the back (slope side) of the passage between “Berghaus” and “Erika Sanso”.
Please drive through the pathway towards the back (slope side).
When parking, kindly pull in as tightly as possible to maximize space.
Since guests will be arriving and departing, we may move your car.
Please make sure to leave your car keys at the front desk.

What time do you open in the morning?

The front desk is open from 7:30 a.m.
Please wait in the parking lot if arrived before the open.

Can you hold my luggage?

We will store the luggage of guests arriving by public transportation at the front desk.
For guests arriving by car, please leave your luggage in your vehicle and ensure it is securely locked.

Can I change clothes before check-in?

Dressing room in the bathhouse is available.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask at the front desk.

Can I check-in early?

Check-in is from 3 p.m. but you can check-in early if we have vacant room.
Please ask the front desk about the vacancy of the day.
Extra charges for early check-in are as follows.
・From 7:30 a.m.: 5,000JPY (tax not included) per room
・From 9:00 a.m.: 3,000JPY (tax not included) per room

Can I have breakfast before check-in if I arrive in the morning?

You can have breakfast at our restaurant.
However, due to preparation requirements, please make a reservation by phone by the day before. (Breakfast: 1,500JPY per person + tax)
Please note that breakfast service is prioritized for staying guests.

Can I enter the hotel directly from the parking lot?

The entrance is at the street side, but you can enter to the ski-room at the basement and there is no shoe box.
Please put the shoes in the shoe box next to the entrance of the first floor.
The shoe box is divided into rooms to prevent the mistake of shoes. Please check the number when you check in.
If you leave the shoes in the ski storage, there is a possibility to lose.
Please note that we do not take responsibility or liability. Please put your shoes in the shoe box.

How do I use the boot lockers and ski storage area?

Boot Lockers:
・Boot lockers are available for use after check-in.
・Each locker is assigned to a specific room, so please confirm your locker location at the front desk during check-in before use.

Ski Storage:
・Ski storage is available for you to securely place your skis and poles using your own lock.
・As the number of storage spots is limited, we kindly ask groups to consolidate their equipment as much as possible.

Please note that lost keys are a frequent issue each year.
We kindly remind you to carefully manage your keys.

Do you offer ski or snowboard rentals?

We do not provide rental services at our facility.
Guests are required to arrange rentals directly with nearby rental shops and visit the shop to ensure proper sizing.

Only if you rent from Uchikawa Sports, you can return the equipment to the museum.
If you rent from other rental stores, you will need to return the equipment directly to the store.
Prices are different for each store and may vary depending on the season, so please inquire at the store.

* The shop is located approximately 700 meters from the hotel.
* Please refer to Google Maps for directions.

●Rentals are available on-site registration or phone reservations only on the day of use.
●Small item rentals are not available. These items can be purchased at our gift shop, Uchikawa Sports, or at the shop near the gondola station.
●Adult rates apply for individuals over 160 cm in height or with shoe sizes of 25 cm and above.
●Damage fees will be charged at actual cost for any broken rental items.
●The hotel assumes no responsibility for any injuries or accidents that occur while using rental equipment.

What kind of hotel amenities are available?

Bath towels, hand towels, tooth brushes, hand soaps for the number of people, a razor and a hair brush per room, yukata for adult (one size fits all).
* Please note that yukata for children is not available.

* There is no hair dryer in the room. You can borrow it at the front desk.

Is there any coupons of the gondola and ropeway?

We offer various tickets at discounted prices at the front desk.
Please note that prices may vary depending on the season.

Is internet access available?

You can use free LAN in guest rooms and lobby, if you bring PC.
We did not offer any PC. So please bring PC or LAN Card by yourself.
You can use LAN for free. If the connection is not good in the guest room, please use in the lobby.

Are there any ATMs near the hotel?

There is a convenience store along Route 148 is nearest ATM.
It’s take about 10 minutes from the hotel by car.
Please ask the front desk for the details.

I would like to send my bags to the hotel ahead of my arrival.

You can send the luggage to the hotel.
Please be assured that the baggage you send is stored in our hotel safely.
Please be sure to fill in the slip by the name of the person who reserved the hotel.
In addition, please bring the slip because we can track your luggage.

Do you sell cigarettes?

We do not sell cigarettes.
The nearest vending machine is a 5-minute walk away.
Please ask the front desk for the details.
